HAVE YOU SEEN
Unraveling pattern recognition…
This exhibition features a body of symmetrical, highly structured paintings that explore the viewer’s instinct for pattern recognition and visual resolution. Through a process-driven approach, the artist creates intricate net-like compositions inspired by Indra’s net—an ancient metaphor for interconnectedness. Some works reveal subtle, face-like forms, while others suggest abstract portals. Initially ambiguous, each piece rewards sustained observation, offering moments of clarity and insight. The work invites critical engagement with perception, order, and the tension between randomness and design.
BEAUTY PARLOR
Beauty Parlor presents a series of abstract portraits that explore the neural and cultural mechanisms behind facial recognition and perceived beauty. Referencing goddesses and muses, the work examines how aesthetics are shaped by internalized patterns and symbolic forms. These paintings are experimental outcomes from a broader inquiry into the nature of inspiration and the self-generated qualities of beauty. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on how recognition—both visual and psychological—constructs meaning and value.
DATA CLOUDS
This series investigates how digital systems—specifically data clouds—shape our understanding of reality. Using 3D polygonal models as a starting point, the artist contrasts the abstract logic of data structures with the organic, ephemeral qualities of natural cloud formations. Each painting features a net-like pattern rendered without intersections, with phosphorescent paint applied at the gaps. In darkness, these forms transform into luminous, nebula-like images, emphasizing the tension between artificial systems and natural phenomena. The work engages with metaphors of complexity, perception, and the unseen structures that inform contemporary life.
